Sisense closes $80m investment
Sisense’s platform (dashboard pictured) is used to prepare, analyse and visualise large volumes and variety of data, and is used by clients including GE, Nasdaq, Rolls Royce and Air Canada. The latest funding brings total investments in Sisense to $200m.
Insight Venture Partners has $20bn invested in 300 companies worldwide including HelloFresh, Yext and Pluralsight.
As part of the investment, Zack Urlocker, most recently chief operating officer of Duo Security, will join the company’s board of directors.
Sisense will use the investment to hire more staff, expand operations globally and invest in its customer success organisation and AI innovation lab. With 450 employees, the company is headquartered in New York and has offices in Tel Aviv, Kiev, Tokyo and Arizona.
Amir Orad, chief executive officer at Sisense, said: "This round will allow us to accelerate our hiring, increase our global footprint, boost our cloud offering, and make additional investments in our machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) labs that are the core of our technology and analytics platform agility."
Jeff Horing, managing director at Insight Venture Partners, said: "Insight is looking forward to working with the Sisense team to capitalise on its growth and create further opportunity as the company scales."
