US— Healthcare data and analytics firm SDI has a new backer – private equity group Tailwind Capital, which has invested an undisclosed amount in the business.
SDI’s other investors are Philadelphia-based LLR Partners and company founder and CEO Andrew Kress.
Kress said: “Tailwind’s expertise and experience in working with growth businesses in the healthcare and business services industries will be invaluable as we continue to broaden our industry coverage and expand the breadth and depth of data and services we provide our clients.”
SDI supplies drugs firms, medical device manufacturers and healthcare companies with data and analytics services designed to measure patient experience and healthcare systems.
In July last year it bought rival healthcare information provider Verispan.
