Salesforce.com buys EdgeSpring

US — CRM company salesforce.com has bought business intelligence and analytics platform provider EdgeSpring.

The start-up analytics company said that being part of salesforce.com would give it the opportunity to take its technology to the next level.

Last month, EdgeSpring released its Business Intelligence and Analytics platform, which analyses data of any size or structure for the end users without dependence on analysts and IT specialists.

Writing on its blog, EdgeSpring’s CEO Vijay Chakravarthy said: “I am excited to be joining a company that shares the values that we hold true here at EdgeSpring: being strongly customer centric and focused on bringing consumer-like ease of use to the enterprise.”
