ReconMR buys VCR Houston

US — Texas-based polling data collection company ReconMR has acquired Voter Consumer Research (VCR) Houston to expand its national and international public opinion research projects.

ReconMR was launched in 2012 as a full service market research firm and, over the past year, it has focused on data collection services. It said the purchase of VCR will allow it to work more extensively in the political and public policy research arena. Financial details of the purchase were not revealed.

Lyle Durbin, CEO of ReconMR said: “VCR and ReconMR have a history of collaboration. This is a great opportunity to be able to combine resources to elevate ReconMR to an elite level of public opinion research companies.”

The integration of operations will involve 300 US-based CATI stations, innovative sampling designs, multi-modal quantitative and qualitative data collection and tenured project managers to serve a variety of opinion research data collection needs.

An additional survey research centre is planned for the San Antonio market to support the growing bilingual interviewing needs.
