INDIA – Digital researcher MetrixLab has appointed Ravi Radhakrishnan as managing director of its first commercial office in India, in Mumbai.
Radhakrishnan will head up commercial activities and work to build MetrixLab’s client base in the country.
He joins from Nielsen India, where he was a director and key account lead in the innovation practice, and has significant experience in research-based consulting, particularly in the FMCG sector.
Radhakrishnan said: "I’m really excited to be joining a ‘new generation’ research agency in MetrixLab. The focus of the company on mobile and digital research techniques as a means to understanding consumers is refreshing and relevant in today’s dynamic FMCG industry. I look forward to helping clients in India by engaging with them on fresh and dynamic solutions with faster turn-around and great value."
Mobile use is huge in India, with recent research finding that time spent on smartphones has overtaken time spent watching TV.
Jan Willem Gerritsen, MetrixLab executive officer, said the company was "putting down roots" in Mumbai. "We’re delighted to be expanding our MetrixLab commercial offer to India, next to our existing office in Hyderabad. Ravi’s extensive expertise in innovation and his sector knowledge makes him a perfect leader."
