Rauxa names data SVP

US – Data and tech-based full service agency Rauxa has hired Alberto Botero as senior vice-president, data intelligence.

Botero joins Rauxa from TBWA where he was head of analytics and data science. He has also been vice-president, strategic analytics for FCB and a consumer strategy and intelligence consultant for Macy’s. He has also worked at Geometry Global, R/GA, Digitas and NBC Universal.

At Rauxa, Botero will lead the agency’s innovation agenda around the sourcing, analysis, collection and interpretation of new and existing data for the company’s clients. He will report to Gina Smith, Rauxa president and CEO.

Smith said: “Alberto has an exceptional ability to leverage data in innovative ways, helping major brands to derive business value from their strategic investments in media, creative and technology.”

Botero added: “Rauxa is a pioneer in how it uses data to maximise effectiveness and success for its clients. My goal is to focus on how we cultivate the data to benefit not just campaigns but overall business strategy.”
