US— Pinpuff, an analytics platform which scores Pinterest users on their popularity, influence, activity and reach, has been bought by start-up incubator Science.
Alongside measuring influence, Pinpuff also helps Pinterest users attribute a monetary value to their pins so they can charge brands to use their boards as a promotional platform.
Science co-founder Mike Jones said: “We can tap into the technology that Pinpuff has built to create a true gauge of reach – one that goes beyond clicks, page views, and static traffic numbers, one that measures the power of influence.
“We’re seeing first hand the magnitude of Pinterest at our own Science companies. Pinterest is the second highest referral network for sales within Science companies, and Pinterest influencers are critical now to nearly any launch in the consumer product space.”
