The acquisition will see Communicus’ longitudinal advertising research system into Phoenix MI’s end-to-end advertising tool.

Phoenix MI was founded in 1999 and has more than 400 employees across seven offices in the US, plus other bases in Hamburg, Shanghai, Mexico City and London.

The terms of the acquisition have not been released.

Martha Rea, president of Phoenix MI, said: “Communicus’ implicit approach to advertising research will dovetail our existing System-1 framework, Dimensions, to provide clients with profound insights into how their advertising is performing and impacting their brands.”

Jeri Smith, chief executive at Communicus, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the Communicus capabilities into the Phoenix Marketing organisation.

“The Communicus in-market 360-degree campaign evaluation system is a perfect complement to the Phoenix suite of products.”
