The latest appointments and promotions in the global market research and consumer insight industry. This week: Forrester, Kudos Research, GfK, Cross-Tab, KBM Group, Kantar Video, Nunwood, Rentrak, Double Helix, ComScore and more.

Forrester Research (US) has appointed Rob Brosnan as an analyst in the customer intelligence team.

Kudos Research (UK) has hired Billy McIntosh as head of telephone operations. He previously worked at Ipsos Mori, NOP and AGB.

GfK board director Wilhelm Wessels (Germany) is to retire at the end of September after more than 30 years with the agency.

Research outsourcing firm Cross-Tab has appointed Terry Sweeney as vice president of operations and client services, based in California. He previously worked for Research Now/E-Rewards.

Marketing strategy firm KBM Group (US) has named Shawn Sweeney as vice president of data and analytics. He was previously consumer practice director at Slalom Consulting.

Kantar Video (US) has hired Arthur McKinley as vice president of business development.

Nunwood (UK) has appointed Cat Wood, ex-Optimisa, as a client consultant and Simon Butcher, ex-DJS Research, as a senior data executive. Client consultant Heather McKenzie relocates from London to Leeds.

Healthcare market research consultancy Double Helix (UK) has appointed Fiona Bailey and Anwar Kumi as associate director and research executive within the strategic market research team.

Media measurement firm Rentrak (US) has hired David Algranati as senior vice president of product innovation and analytical solutions. He was previously director of integrated marketing solutions at Experian Simmons.

DunnhumbyUSA has promoted John Meyer to senior associate for client leadership and Lauren Lauzau as senior associate for communications. Joining the firm are Beth Mindlin as data manager, Jeff Dietz as procurement director, Mayuresh Gaikwad as associate director for communications and media and Terry Thompson as data manager.

Healthcare panel firm Patient Intelligence Panel (UK) has appointed Herman Rutgers as chairman and Ben Tegelaars as business development director.

ComScore (UK) has promoted Robin Caswell to commercial director.

Analytics firm Quantium (Australia) has launched an online retail consultancy headed by former eBay Australia MD Simon Smith.

Polaris Marketing Research (US) has appointed Merlin Chiang as an analyst.

Communications agency Profero (UK) has named former Sky analytics executive Mike Barratt as director of data and insight.

Media research and consulting firm CJ&N (US) has appointed David Voelker as a senior research analyst.

Morpace has opened an office in Shanghai and appointed Tong Zhou as research director.

ORC International (UK) has hired Alastair Macmillan, a former account director at Fast.MAP, as business developer to handle customer experience work in the financial services division.
