People

The latest appointments and promotions in the market research and consumer insight industry. This week: McCallum Layton, Enprecis, TNS, Leapfrog, Sentient Decision Science, Karmasphere, Brand Driver, Ipsos, MarketVision, Common Sense Advisory, Rentrak, Crimson Hexagon, CMI and Cint.

McCallum Layton (UK) has appointed Matt Broughton to senior research executive in the quant team. He previously worked for Ipsos Mori. Mark Gentry has been promoted to associate director.

Auto industry research specialist Enprecis (France) has appointed Vincent Dupray as general manager in Europe. He was previously head of the automotive department at TNS Sofres.

TNS (US) has named Cheryl Max as head of North America marketing. Her last job was director of global marcoms capabilities at IBM.

Leapfrog Research & Planning (UK) has hired Denzie Davis, formerly with Synovate, as associated director, Frances Sinclair, ex-Rosenblatt, as quality and reports manager, Vangelis Skouras, also ex-Synovate, as senior research executive, and Felicity Giles, previously with GfK NOP, as research executive.

Sentient Decision Science (US), a consumer psychology consultancy, has appointed Yi Zhang as behavioural scientist and director of the subconscious research lab.

‘Big data’ intelligence software company Karmasphere (US) has hired Gail Ennis, the former chief marketing officer for web analytics firm Omniture, as chief executive.

Content research specialist Brand Driver (UK) has named Nick Rand as research director, responsible for qual research and b2b projects. Rand was formerly a strategic consultant with the Future Foundation, The Henley Centre, Opinion Leader, Bupa and the COI.

Ipsos has appointed Steve Murphy as country manager for Malaysia.

MarketVision Research has hired Katherine Figatner as research manager specialising in qualitative research.

Common Sense Advisory, a US-based company, has named Vijayalaxmi Hedge as a research associate. She will be based in India.

Media measurement firm Rentrak (US) has appointed Sherri Lee to product manager of the TV Essentials service. She previously worked in business development at Harris Corporation, consulting at Canoe Ventures and Visible World, and product development at Donovan Data Systems.

Crimson Hexagon, a US-based social media analytics firm, has hired Patricia Gottesman as president and CEO, replacing Scott Centurino.

Full service research agency CMI (US) has appointed Cary Matthews as vice president of operations. He joins from Richardson Technology Systems where he held the same title.

Research software and services firm Cint has restructured its Noric management. David Wieseltier becomes regional head, while Viktor Bergh, formerly of Lightspeed Research and Research Now, becomes strategic account manager. Nelli Jensen has been named country manager for Denmark, with Charlotte Bergstrøm, ex-Nielsen, becomes senior account manager. In Sweden, Richard Ström takes up the role of account manager, having previously worked for Enalyzer.
