The latest appointments and promotions in the global market research and consumer insight industry. This week: Opinion Leader, LogicLab, Gusto Research, Synovate Healthcare, Insight Inside, Visual IQ, Hitchcock Fleming & Associates, HSBC, Buyology and The Brand Union.

Opinion Leader in the UK has appointed ADAM PALENICEK as associate director to strengthen the firm’s offering in health and public sector research. He was previously at Ipsos Mori, whom he joined as a graduate in 2003.

JEANNINE ANTUS KONCAR has joined US marketing analytics agency LogicLab as vice president of advertiser sales. Her last role was with mobile content delivery firm Gumiyo where she she was in harge of sales.

In the UK Leeds-based Gusto Research has opened a new office in London and recruited HELEN LISLE as qualitative research executive and LOUISA McCOY as quantitative research executive. Lisle joins from &Co (previously Audiences Yorkshire) and McCoy was at Newsquest Yorkshire.

In Germany, Synovate Healthcare has hired NICOLE OEHLRICH as a business consultant, specialising in oncology. She will be based at the firm’s Frankfurt offices. Oehrlich was most recently with IMS Health as oncology product manager for EMEA.

MICHAEL MARTIN has joined UK strategic insight consultancy Insight Inside as a partner. Before joining the agency he was a director at Added Value UK where he led the quantitative team.

Marketing intelligence software provider Visual IQ in the US has hired JOE GIANNANTONIO as director of its solutions and analytics group and NED ELMORE as senior client partner. Giannantonio previously held roles with McCann Worldgroup while Elmore was last at Digitas.

US marketing communications agency Hitchcock Fleming & Associates has promoted SHELLY MORTON to team leader and account supervisor of interactive services, KELLY WANSTRATH to research manager and LAUREN REED to account planner.

HSBC in Australia has appointed VIC WOLFF as its new head of marketing, where he will lead research, advertising and other marketing activities. He was previously executive director of marketing and communications at ING Direct Australia.

RAJESH RAICHOUDHURY has joined US neuromarketing agency Buyology as chief technology officer. His past roles include roles at Bartleby.com and Phobos Entertainment.

Branding agency The Brand Union has appointed RUPAL GADHIA as director of strategy and research. He was last in the consumer and media practice at Booz & Company.
