OzTAM launches tender for video measurement service

AUSTRALIA – Australian television viewing measurement standard OzTAM has opened a tender for its Total Video Measurement service covering viewing behaviour across the country.

The tender will adopt a modular approach, which will allow participants to bid for specific components of the measurement service or the complete end-to-end process.

Independent consultancy Pure X Media has been employed to support the tender, with the company having specialist knowledge of audience measurement tender processes and cross media measurement.

The request for proposal process will run throughout the second half of 2026, with a decision expected in the first quarter of 2027.

Nielsen and Milton Data will remain OzTAM’s research service providers for the duration of the tender process.

Karen Halligan, chief executive at OzTAM, said: “Video audience measurement plays a critical role in providing the transparency and accountability that underpins Australia’s media market.

“This process is about ensuring OzTAM continues to deliver the trusted measurement services our industry relies on, both today and into the future.”

Halligan added: “Over the past 25 years, Nielsen has been an invaluable partner in the delivery and evolution of OzTAM’s audience measurement services.
