UK – Open web recommendation platform Outbrain has appointed Yonatan Maman as chief technology officer and Andraz Tori in a newly created executive role as chief product officer.
As part of the appointments, general manager, Israel, and chief technology officer at Outbrain, Ori Lahav, will relinquish his role as chief technology officer and focus on cross-company strategic initiatives.
Maman (pictured right) has worked at Outbrain since 2011, first as senior software engineer and most recently as vice-president of engineering.
Tori (pictured left) has served as head of recommendations and data science at Outbrain for the past four years, following Outbrain’s acquisition of Zemanta, of which he was a founder.
Both Maman and Tori will report to David Kostman, co-chief executive at Outbrain.
Outbrain is a recommendation firm headquartered in New York with offices in 17 cities worldwide, and which makes daily recommendations to consumers across more than 7,000 online properties and connects advertisers to those audiences.
Lahav said: “Yonatan and Andraz bring distinct strengths and capabilities to our team, and we’re fortunate to have a succession stemming from internal drivers of Outbrain success.
“I’m confident they will have a positive impact on the engineering organisation and the future of Outbrain as our company continues to evolve to meet the needs of this dynamic industry.”
