Outbrain expands team

UK – Technology platform Outbrain has made several senior appointments in its UK team, including promoting Richard Chambers to managing director, business development, publishers NE.

Richard Chambers

Chambers (pictured) joined Outbrain seven years ago focusing on premium publishing across northern Europe, and has prior experience at Sky and The Guardian.

In his new role, Chambers will add work with Benelux (Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg) and DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) to his remit, reporting to Stephanie Himoff, executive vice-president, global publishers at Outbrain.

Outbrain has appointed Alex Cheeseman as head of enterprise in the UK, where he will focus on sales in the UK market.

Cheeseman previously led sales for Outbrain between 2011 and 2014 and has held other roles at NewsCred, News Corp and Industry Dive.

Alexandre Simo has been named Outbrain’s head of account management, NE.

Simo was previously at Amazon, where he spent six years leading account management teams, and has also worked for agencies M/Six and Havas.

Both Cheeseman and Simo will report to James Milne, managing director, northern Europe, at Outbrain.

Founded in 2006, Outbrain is a technology platform that helps advertisers and publishers with consumer engagement and is headquartered in New York with offices in Israel and across the US, Europe, Asia-Pacific and South America.
