Nielsen moves to daily streaming ratings releases

SCR previously released weekly updates for users, and Nielsen said that technological changes it had adopted had reduced SCR data delivery time by up to 80%, allowing clients to receive data each business data for viewing that occurred two days prior.
Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 reports would also have its reporting delay halved, the company said, with its first instalment of the new report released this week and covering the week between 31st August and 6th September.
Brian Fuhrer, senior vice-president, product strategy and thought leadership at Nielsen, said the changes “may be the most significant enhancement to Streaming Content Ratings since its launch in 2017”.
He added: “As the speed of change across the media landscape increases, providing our clients with more immediate, up-to-date audience data helps them keep pace with the consumer.”
