Nielsen in alliance with Bazaarvoice on online product reviews

US— Nielsen has entered a ‘strategic alliance’ with Bazaarvoice, which provides software to help companies track user-generated ratings and reviews.

Online reviews tracked by Bazaarvoice can now be seen through Nielsen’s BuzzMetrics product, and Bazaarvoice will continue to provide custom analytics reports.

The partners say users of the service are able to see how new products and marketing actions affect the health of their brand.

Pete Blackshaw (pictured), executive VP of digital strategy and customer satisfaction at Nielsen, said the relationship with Bazaarvoice “significantly sharpens Nielsen’s focus and depth of content around purchase behaviour and brand advocacy”.
