New president and board elected at WIN

INDONESIA – The Worldwide Independent Network of Market Research (WIN) has elected a new board and appointed Richard Colwell, chief executive at Red C Research Group, as president.

Colwell (pictured) succeeds Vilma Scarpino, who served as president for seven years and who will continue on the board in an ex-officio role.

The board, which was elected during the groups annual conference AGM held in Bali, Indonesia, will also feature Dave Scholz of Leger in the US, Edouard Lecerf of BVA Group in France and Jari Pajunen from Taloustutkimus Oy in Finland.

Other board members elected include Constanza Cilley of Voices Research & Consultancy in Argentina, Laura Ruvalcaba of Brain Research in Mexico and Raul Esteban from PSRC (Philippines Survey & Research Center).

All board members will serve a three-year term. Urpi Torrado, chief executive officer at Datum in Peru has also stepped down from her board position.

Colwell said: “I am honoured to take on the role of president of this great network and look forward to continuing the legacy of excellence in human understanding and insight fostered by my predecessors.

“Our new board represents a diverse and talented group of professionals committed to advancing the field of market research and beyond.”
