UK— Media and research agency owner Aegis has appointed three new non-executive directors and a new group finance chief.
Taking seats on the board of the group, which owns MR firm Synovate, are John Brady, Simon Laffin and Martin Read. Laffin will also serve as chairman of Aegis’s audit committee.
All three hold non-executive directorships at other firms, with Laffin on the board at Quintain Estates & Development, Mitchells & Butlers and Hozelock Group. Brady serves on the boards of Green King and Invest Northern Ireland, while Read is a non-executive director at Ivensys and senior advisor to HCL Technologies.
Brendan O’Neill will retire from his position as a non-executive director in October.
Meanwhile, Nick Priday is to be promoted to group chief finance officer on 1 September, replacing Alicja Lesniak (pictured), who is retiring. He joined Aegis in 2003 and is currently director of financial reporting.
John Napier, chairman and interim CEO at Aegis, said: “These appointments complete the major part of the reorganisation of the Aegis board. I am pleased to welcome the new non-executives and to appoint Nick to the role of CFO. I would particularly like to thank Alicja for the contribution she has made to the group in her time here, and Brendan for his four years of service on the board and his support in achieving an orderly transition.”
