New funding for Askpolly

CANADA – AI market research platform Askpolly has raised $3m in seed capital in a funding round led by Differential Ventures.

The funding will be used to expand product development and increase the company’s presence in the US.

The 98 and Forum Ventures also participated in the funding round.

Askpolly uses social media conversations to build representative samples, working in research ranging from audience analysis to message testing.

The company is a Microsoft partner with Azure IP co-sell eligible status, as well as having availability through Microsoft Marketplace and a Copilot-certified agent.

Erin Kelly, co-founder and chief executive at Askpolly, said: “Market research has not kept pace with the way people communicate.

“Consumers are already sharing what they think online, but the loudest voices are not always representative.”

Nick Adams, co-founder and managing partner at Differential Ventures, added: “Large language models are outstanding tools for large-scale data extraction and summarisation but they can’t actually perform research in a way that produces trusted recommendations.”
