New AMSRO president and leadership team
The organisation also elected Marc L’Huillier, partner in advisory at EY and managing partner at EY Sweeney, as vice-president, Ipsos chief executive Simon Wake as secretary and Sarah Wrigley, founder and director of Gundabluey Research, as treasurer.
The new leadership team was announced following AMSRO’s annual general meeting. It also welcomed a new general member, Josephine Foti, principal, Wallis Market and Social Research.
Zdanowicz (pictured) said: “One of AMSRO’s key goals for 2020 is taking a leadership role on the responsible use of data. Ethical behaviour, independent certification and adherence to privacy law are the three pillars that underpin AMSRO member organisations’ compliance. As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that trust is maintained in research, AMSRO has Australia’s only industry-specific Australian Privacy Principles privacy code.”
He added: “The risks associated with a privacy breach are simply too big to ignore, from a consumer, client and commercial perspective. Our privacy code is fast becoming the benchmark and we will continue to ensure it is fit for purpose.”
