UK – Netflix and Amazon Prime Video saw falls in household subscribers in the second quarter of 2023, according to data from television audience measurement body Barb.
The figures showed 57.7% of homes had access to Netflix in the second quarter of 2023, down from 59% in the first quarter.
Amazon Prime Video saw a smaller fall from 44.9% to 44% in the same period.
Disney+ saw a slight gain, with 25.2% penetration in the second quarter of 2023, up from 24.8% in the prior quarter.
Now remained level with 7.1% UK household penetration, as did Apple TV+, with 6.6% penetration in both quarters of this year so far.
Barb added Paramount+ to its subscription video on demand (SVOD) service this month, and said the service was present in 5.9% of UK households in the second quarter of 2023.
Overall, 65.9% of UK households had access to an SVOD service in the second quarter of the year.
