MTM London plans syndicated study of connected devices

UK— Strategic consultancy MTM London is to launch a six-month syndicated research project that examines commercial opportunities for media owners in the connected devices sector, which includes smartphones, tablets and connected TVs.

The Connected project will be funded by partners who will receive exclusive access to the results, including an analysis of the connected devices universe, qual and quant insight into consumer preferences and behaviour, a three-year forecast of device penetration and consumer content spending, seminars and a weekly newsletter.

MTM co-founder Jon Watts said: “Connected devices are transforming the way people buy and consume content, creating new commercial opportunities for media owners. Yet there is little consensus over how fast the universe of devices will grow, or which business models offer the greatest potential.”
