MRS launches SME support

UK – The Market Research Society (MRS) has created a website for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) – Research_for small businesses – to help smaller companies with market research support and advice.

The website demonstrates that market research is not just for big businesses and that it does not need to be expensive.

It includes video case studies with SMEs from a broad range of sectors, sharing their experiences of research and highlighting the need for market research beyond the beginning of a venture.

The site is sponsored by Whycatcher and Zappistore, and offers advice on how to choose the right agency and tips for SMEs carrying out their own research as well as a technical term jargon buster.

Jane Frost, chief executive officer of MRS said: “SMEs account for 99.9% of UK businesses – but many think market research is only for big business and big budgets. It’s in their interests and ours, to demonstrate the value of research and how, done well, it can deliver customers and growth to the bottom line. This website will provide SMEs with a trusted source of good practice, tips and accredited research suppliers.”

All companies and case studies featured on the SME website can also be found in MRS’ Research Buyers Guide.

So just a couple of thing from this .... who ever designed the site needs to understand that Sector is not equal to methodology in the search box to find suppliers ..... Secondly, is this paid for advertising enabled by the MRS as I do not see a way to register a member organisation as a supplier on this site ... do we have to pay to be listed?

MRS Team

Thank you for your feedback, it's very helpful - we're in the process of updating the search menus and will fix that right away. In terms of how to appear on the website all MRS members and company partners that are listed in the Research Buyers Guide are eligible to appear in the search results as part of their online upgrade. We are also interested in case studies from content sponsors who again must be MRS accredited companies listed on RBG. You can find out more here including how to contact us https://www.researchforsmallbusinesses.com/about or contact us directly: rsb@mrs.org.uk Tel: +44 (0)20 7490 4911.
