MRS appoints new editor of Research-live.com
Bainbridge (pictured) is an experienced business journalist specialising in marketing, media and advertising. A former deputy editor of Marketing, she has worked as a freelance writer and editor for the past ten years. She has been a contributor to the Guardian Media Network and written for national newspapers including The Independent, The Guardian and The Observer.
Jane Frost, chief executive of MRS, said: “I am thrilled to have Jane join us. These publications play a critical role in setting the tone and agenda not just of the Society but of the research, insight, analytics and marketing sciences sector as a whole. Jane has the editorial pedigree to challenge, inspire and delight us all in the process.”
Bainbridge has been a regular contributor to Impact since it launched in April 2013. Outside of her published journalism work, she has been involved in corporate writing as well as training, including business writing workshops and media training.
She takes up her new role in June. She replaces Brian Tarran who is leaving MRS after 12 years to become editor of Significance, a joint publication of the Royal Statistical Society and the American Statistical Association.
