UK — The Market Research Society has published its annual league table, showing early signs of industry recovery.
The table, compiled in October, ranks the largest organisations (turnover exceeding £3m) in the UK research and insight industry by their UK-based turnover. Kantar tops the table, with Ipsos MORI and GfK in second and third.
After adjustments to reflect the impact of acquisitions within (and departures from) the table, like-for-like growth of 0.12% was achieved over the 12 month period. For the first time, the league table also analyses growth of organisations within the table and provides growth rankings to show relative growth of companies listed.
MRS CEO Jane Frost, said: “It is encouraging to see that across the spectrum of research and insight business, from the largest public global groups to the boutique businesses, there are early signs of growth within the industry against the backdrop of very tough trading conditions.”
