US – Market research industry non-profit Market Research Institute International (MRII) has named Jonathan Lepisto of US Bank as its new board president, replacing Paul Hunter.
Lepisto has been on the MRII board since 2017 and currently serves as manager of research insights and product strategy at US Bank.
Prior to his role at US Bank, Lepisto worked at companies including Dunnhumby and Ipsos.
In his new role, Lepisto will help lead the board’s focus on strategy and will work closely with MRII’s executive director, Ed Keller.
MRII was set up in 1996 and is a non-profit educational institute offering educational courses in cooperation with the University of Georgia to people working in the marketing research profession.
Keller said: “Jonathan has played a critical role for MRII during his board tenure and I am excited to work with him during 2024 to further MRII’s mission.
“In 2023, as president-elect and chair of our strategic planning committee he has crafted an exciting vision for MRII’s future that builds on our heritage and embraces the exciting changes taking place in the market research industry.”
Lepisto added: “We are in an exciting time for understanding customers. Never before have we had so much insight into what customers do, think and feel.
“ I’m excited that in my new role with MRII I can help other people learn how to best tap into this insights stream and receive the training and education they need to better understand customers, consumer audiences and the world around us.”
