More UK online purchases now made via mobile than desktop
In what was described as a ‘major digital tipping point', tablets emerged as the preferred device for purchases, with a 33% share of sales. Smartphones accounted for 18% of sales, but the report revealed that sales via these devices had risen sharply across the year.
Looking at traffic to retail websites, mobile devices took a 66% share, an increase from 63% in Q3 and 54% in Q4 2014 .
