Meta creates chief data officer role

Schultz, who lives in London, will lead Meta’s work on AI-led analytics and research, overseeing analytics, data science, data engineering, competitive intelligence and user research.
Schultz joined Meta in 2007, and was previously chief marketing officer and vice-president of analytics at the company, responsible for marketing, product analytics, global experience, insights and creative globally.
As vice-president of analytics between 2015 and 2026, Schultz helped to build and run Meta’s data science and data engineering teams, and as chief marketing officer, a role he took up in 2020, led Meta’s global marketing organisation.
