Merkle hires Wagner to lead EMEA growth
Wagner (pictured) joined Merkle in 2015 as senior vice-president, growth director. Her previous roles include chief marketing officer at Rapp UK and managing partner at Wunderman, responsible for the global Land Rover account.
In her new role, Wagner will be responsible for the leadership of new and existing clients, including helping them implement people-based marketing. She will also head up new business for Merkle EMEA.
The Dentsu Aegis Network-owned company’s recent acquisitions in Europe include UK analytics business Aquila Insight and Spanish company Divisadero. In late 2017, the company appointed Michael Komasinski as president of EMEA, while in January, Thomas Byrne was promoted to senior vice-president of agency services in the region.
Komasinski said: “Margaret’s depth of experience across operations, client management and corporate development gives her a unique perspective on client and agency needs, which has enabled her to help our clients achieve success through people-based marketing.”
