Meltwater integrates generative AI
Among the company’s new features are an ‘insight assistant’ that surfaces consumer and market information and patterns, and a tool that allows users to capture insights from video content on social platforms through advanced computer vision.
An AI writing tool based on OpenAI’s GPT model allows users to craft content that is integrated into their publishing workflow.
Meltwater is headquartered in San Francisco and has 50 offices and employs 2,300 people globally. The company’s AI system analyses around 1bn documents daily.
Jess Smith, senior marketing manager for the UKI region, Meltwater, said: “The past year has seen a huge increase in the use of AI in terms of the industry as a whole. Eliminating guesswork, saving time, accessing actionable data, and producing more personalised content are all game-changers in an industry that is continuously changing and expanding.”
The company plans to release ‘additional generative AI-powered enhancements’ in ‘the coming months’, including automating tags for news and social content.
