UK – Birmingham-based social research firm MEL Research has appointed Skye Curtis as head of evaluation.

Curtis (pictured) was previously evaluation lead at Citizens Advice and has experience in social research and evaluation, focusing on service improvement and policy change.

At Citizens Advice, Curtis’ work included evaluations of food bank support, debt advice, energy support and advice, and benefit advice.

Prior to that role, Curtis started her social research career at Cancer Research UK, where she focused on health and wellbeing research and managed national and international policy research programmes.

At MEL Research, Curtis will serve on the ethics board in addition to leading the evaluation practice.

Karen Etheridge, managing director at MEL Research, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Skye Curtis to the MEL Research team. Skye’s impressive track record and dedication to research that drives positive change align perfectly with our mission.

“We look forward to the innovative insights and impactful evaluations she will bring to our clients and projects.”
