Barker (pictured) rejoins MediaSense from Magna Global, where he was managing partner of global value at Rufus, Interpublic Group’s Amazon-focused team.

He was previously a client director at MediaSense between 2018 and 2022, and has also held roles at ZenithOptimedia and Stack I/O.

London-headquartered MediaSense offers media audit services focused on measuring the productivity of media investments. The company also conducts media management and agency selection.

Ryan Kangisser, managing partner, strategy at MediaSense, said: “We recognise the increasingly strategic role media now plays, and the need to evolve media accountability in ways which better balance efficiency with effectiveness.

“As a recognised industry practitioner in media analytics, investment and accountability, I’m excited to welcome Oliver back to bring his unrivalled expertise to our clients and colleagues.”

MediaSense recently worked with the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) on a joint research project that found 24% of brands surveyed felt the current media agency model was unfit for their future needs.
