MDC Partners buys majority stake in Capital C Communications

US— Marketing and communications group MDC Partners has acquired a majority stake in Canadian advertising and marketing services agency Capital C Communications.

As well as its advertising and marketing activities Capital C offers a range of strategy, consumer insight and shopper monitoring services.

The agency’s client list includes PepsiCo, Nissan, Unilever, McCain Foods and Cineplex Entertainment.

MDC Partners chairman and CEO Miles Nadal (pictured) said: “There has never been a more critical time for marketers to harness the power of big ideas and utilise every tool and platform at their disposal, from digital technology to public relations to consumer insights and research to experiential marketing to social media, in order to deliver the highest level of immersive brand engagement and interaction with consumers.”

Tony Chapman, founder and CEO at Capital C, said MDC would provide them with “a deep pool of talent and technology to offer our clients”.
