Maktoob Research appoints biz dev director

UAE— Middle East-focused research agency Maktoob Research has appointed Sameh Lutfi as business development director in its Dubai office.

Lutfi will be responsible for building the local and regional client base for Maktoob, which runs an online panel of consumers in the Middle East and North Africa. He will be focusing particularly on business in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Egypt.

He joins a team of 14 based in Dubai, with a further 13 based in Amman, Jordan.

“With nearly 13 years of progressive experience in business development and marketing, Sameh is a welcome addition to the Maktoob Research team,” said general manager Tamara Deprez.

Prior to joining Maktoob, Lutfi served as sales and marketing manager with an online e-commerce marketplace. He also led business development initiatives and managed the development of new products and features to the online environment in all the firm’s markets.
