Listen + Learn Research lands Earthshot Prize gig
Listen + Learn Research has been appointed by the Earthshot Prize to assess how well the finalists have been able to grow their online and social communities.
This will help the prize improve its understanding of its impact in supporting organisations working to solve the climate crisis.
Stephen Lavery, senior impact and insights manager, the Earthshot Prize, said: “Our role at The Earthshot Prize is to accelerate and scale solutions that will help repair our planet over the next decade.
“We’re working with a fantastic new cohort of finalists who are doing ground-breaking work and by tracking their volume of online activity we can get a clear understanding of how much coverage they are getting and how we’re helping to shine a spotlight on them.
“Being able to track this through the year and around key events in the calendar will be an important tool for us to measure our impact.
“We chose Listen + Learn to support us because of their collaborative approach, strategic thinking and their own focus on becoming a more sustainable business.”
The 2022 winners of the Earthshot Prize include a start-up providing cleaner-burning stoves to women in Kenya to reduce unhealthy indoor pollution and a solution for local smallholder farmers in India to reduce costs, increase yields and protect livelihoods in a country on the frontlines of climate change.
Listen + Learn Research MD and founder, Jeremy Hollow (pictured), explained: “Building communities and influence across social media is a prerequisite for success in today’s hyper-connected society. Supporting The Earthshot Prize is a real honour. The need to find workable solutions to the climate crises grows daily and we admire their pragmatic, entrepreneurial and inclusive approach.”
The Duke of Cambridge launched the £50m Earthshot Prize for the best ideas to save the planet in 2020.
Five £1 million prizes are awarded every year to the most creative solutions.
