Social listening query writing competition launched for researchers
The competition aims to raise the profile of data collection within social listening and highlight the skills required.
Listen + Learn Research and the Social Intelligence Lab are working with technology partner YouScan to run the competition, which has a deadline of Sunday 9th July.
The competition is open to freelancers, independent consultants, and individuals working at brands, organisations or agencies. It is not open to individuals working for a social listening business or those with any formal affiliation to a technology platform.
Entries will be judged according to relevancy and breadth.
Jeremy Hollow, founder and managing director at Listen + Learn Research and one of the judges, said: “Rubbish in, rubbish out is an old adage, but it’s so true when it comes to social media research. As more and more organisations start incorporating social data into their research mix, we need to make sure that, as a sector, we're developing the right skills to ensure that data quality isn't being left behind.
“That’s why this competition is so important. It’s a chance to raise the profile of this vital skill set in social media research. By hosting this competition, we've got a chance to bring together a community of people, celebrate success and share best practices.”
