UK – Kantar’s public policy and communications division, Kantar Public, has appointed Sean Larkins as global CEO of its consulting division.
Larkins takes on the role at Kantar Public Consulting having joined Kantar in 2015. He was previously deputy director for government communications, based in the Prime Minister’s Office and Cabinet Office communications team.
Larkins was initially director of capability and consulting for the WPP Government & Public Sector Practice and he retains that role as well as taking on the CEO responsibility.
Kantar Public was launched in 2016, working with governments globally – it has offices in 20 markets. Kantar Public Consulting is one of its four operating divisions that also include research, data and analytics services, the international development practice, and political and media advisory.
Kantar Public Consulting plans to expand operations into North America and Asia this year. It has staff in London and Paris and is also building teams in Australia and the Middle East.
Dr Michelle Harrison, global CEO Kantar Public, said: "Sean has done a splendid job in launching Kantar Public Consulting and building an enviable track record of helping our government clients improve the public realm.
"His expertise in government communications and applied behaviour change has helped governments connect more effectively with citizens. He will now lead our growing team of consultants working to deliver best practice in all aspects of citizen communications and digital engagement."
