Kantar Public hires UK CEO

UK – Kantar’s public policy consulting division, Kantar Public, has appointed Craig Watkins as chief executive for the UK.

Watkins joins the company from EY, where he was business development director for the company’s UK government and public sector practice. He has almost 25 years of public sector experience including the Home Office, Youth Justice Board and Metropolitan Police.

He replaces previous Kantar Public chief executive Grant Fitzner, who has joined the ONS as chief economist.

Watkins takes up the role in February 2019.

Dr Michelle Harrison, global chief executive of Kantar Public, said: “We couldn’t be more pleased to have Craig join us to lead our UK business and join our global leadership team. His passion for working in the public realm, together with his consulting background, makes him the ideal partner to our clients and leader for our team. He joins us during an exciting time of change and innovation in our business, as we complete our first two years as Kantar Public.”
