Kraft’s Alvarado to lead insight for Mondelez snacks business

US— Kraft Foods’ Maria Alvarado is to become vice president of consumer insight for Kraft’s rebranded snack food business, Mondelez, when the company splits in two later this year.

Kraft’s high-margin North American grocery business is expected be spun off as a separate company in October retaining the Kraft name, while Mondelez becomes the umbrella for many well-known brands including Cadbury, Jacobs, Milka, Nabisco and Oreo.

Alvarado is already insights VP for global snacks at Kraft, based in Switzerland. Her counterpart in the North American grocery business will be Jennifer Bentz.
