US— Social media monitoring and strategy firm Converseon has appointed Mark Kovscek to the newly created role of senior vice president of enterprise analytics.

Kovscek (pictured) has spent 18 years working in the analytics industry, and will be responsible for leading Converseon’s enterprise analytics offering and creating “enterprise value” by integrating information from the firm’s social media monitoring tools with other business data.

Before joining Converseon, Kovscek was a senior vice president at Publicis Groupe-owned Starcom MediaVest Group, where he was responsible for building analytics solutions for P&G.

Earlier he was at VivaKi Nerve Center, where he was tasked with developing digital-related products for Publicis Groupe’s media agencies.

Rob Key, Converseon CEO, said: “Mark’s understanding of complex business challenges coupled with his ability to fuse together social data and more traditional data will help us provide a range of new, breakthrough solutions to our clients, and further enhance our industry leadership.

“The integration of social intelligence with other critically important data is essential to not only better understand the impact of social media on organisations, but also to provide the robust intelligence organisations require to meet business objectives in a real time, socially-driven environment.”
