Cesar (pictured) will be responsible for defining and leading Kantar’s future technology plans in the newly created role.

She joins the company effective from 1st July and will be based in London, reporting to deputy chief executive and chief financial officer Ian Griffiths.

Cesar joined the London Stock Exchange Group in January 2021 through its acquisition of Refinitiv, where she was chief technology officer.

Prior to that, she held various senior technology roles at companies including Thomson Reuters, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan.

Kantar’s chief executive Alexis Nasard recently stepped down after four months in the role. In March, the company appointed Ted Prince to the newly created role of chief product officer.

Griffiths, who is leading the company until a replacement chief executive is appointed, said future growth would come from using “advanced technology” alongside “data and analysis capabilities”.

He added: “In partnership with our product leaders, Alex will define and execute a path to that future, creating a step change in how we use advanced analytics to deliver ever more value to clients as the world’s leading data-led insights and consulting company.”
