Kantar hires Microsoft’s Cundiff

US – WPP-owned Kantar has appointed Reed Cundiff as chief executive for North America.

Cundiff (pictured) joins the company from Microsoft, where he has been general manager for customer and market research for the past 10 years. In the role, he was responsible for the digital transformation of the company’s customer and consumer insights.

He will take over from Kantar’s president, Wayne Levings, who will return to the UK to take on the role of head of global clients.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Cundiff held analyst and consulting roles at Gartner, the Yankee Group and Compete.

Eric Salama, chief executive, Kantar, said: “Reed understands what it means to deliver for clients. He is tech savvy, entrepreneurial, a clear thinker who puts an emphasis on execution and accountability and has built strong teams that have performed at a high level.”

Cundiff will join Kantar on 1st May.
