UK— IQ Holdings (IQH), the parent company of research businesses IQ and Viewpoint Field & Studios, has appointed Gale Blears to the board of directors.
Blears is managing director of Viewpoint, which was bought by IQ earlier this year from marketing services group Media Square.
She takes the place of Janette Weir, a director of both IQH and IQ Research, who is leaving the group to set up her own business.
Weir could not be reached for comment at the time of publication. She has been with IQ since May 2005 overseeing business development activities. She joined the group from Datamonitor.
In a statement, IQH thanked Weir for her services and wished her well for the future. Welcoming Blears to the board, IQ managing director Julian Green said: “We believe that Gale will be an immense asset enabling the successful integration of Viewpoint and driving the business forward. This is an exciting time for the company with our newly expanded service offering.”
