IQ completes buy of Illuminas assets

Viewpoint Field, Viewpoint Studios and The Wire now part of IQ
UK-- The £1.5m sale by Media Square of parts of the Illuminas business to the owner of IQ Research was completed today.
IQ Holdings now owns the Viewpoint Field interviewing agency, the Viewpoint Studios viewing facilities and CATI and CAWI centre The Wire.
In exchange for the assets, Media Square received £600,000 cash and £300,000 worth of shares, and will receive a further £600,000 cash over the next three years. It now owns a stake of 18.9% in IQ.
Media Square said it sold the assets because they were “not core” to Illuminas' consultancy-focused strategy, and that it will use the cash to reduce debt.
