Ipsos sells retail data company
The deal will see Retail Performance’s 40 employees in the UK and Philippines joining RetailNext.
Ipsos will also take a minority stake in RetailNext and Ipsos clients will continue to be able to access footfall and customer counting data through the partnership between the two companies.
Ben Page, global chief executive officer at Ipsos, said: “The sale of Retail Performance reflects our focus on our core research services, as announced in the 2022-2025 growth plan.”
Alexei Agratchev, co-founder and chief executive at RetailNext, said: “Retail Performance is a leader in the footfall-tracking space, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming them into the family as we expand our mission in the UK and beyond.”
