Ipsos and Gemius collaborate on MENA web measurement

Middle East and Africa

UAE— Ipsos and Gemius are rolling out website audience measurement panels in seventeen Middle East and North African countries, using a combination of site-centric and user-centric methods.

The first stage in the development of the Ipsos/Gemius service is the recruitment of ‘cookie panels’, currently ongoing, which will be used to collect data specifically for websites owned by publishers participating in the research.

In the second quarter of this year, the partners plan to move on to establishing panels equipped with software meters, which will monitor all internet activity to provide a more complete market overview.

Cookie data is already available for Saudi Arabia and Jordan, while recruitment is still underway in Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Syria, Yemen, Libya and the Palestinian Territories.
