CANADA— Web analytics firm iPerceptions has posted a 10% rise in revenue to C$1.2m for the three months ending 30 September – but losses also increased to C$1m for the period.

The company reported a C$375,000 rise in general and administratative expenses for Q3, C$300,000 of which was tied to a severance package for a senior, but unnamed, executive who “left his functions with the corporation”.

IPerceptions did see an improvement in its gross margin year-on-year, rising from 50% to 57%. Clients added during the period included Avis Budget, Samsung Global and the Yellow Pages Group, while annual contracts were renewed with Dell and Mazda Canada.

Revenue for the first nine months was up 14% to C$3.6m. CEO Claude Guay said the company had managed “skillfully” through the “turbulent economic waters” of the first three quarters of 2009.

Earlier this month the company acquired the Web Analytics Solution Profiler product line, which is designed to be used by companies to check whether their web analytics packages are set up to accurately measure site audiences.
