InterMedia hires Synovate’s Marles to lead Africa expansion

KENYA— Research consultancy InterMedia has appointed Steadman founder Vivien Marles to head its new Kenyan operation, which has headquarters in Nairobi.

Marles joins from Synovate Pan Africa (formerly The Steadman Group) where she served as research director for the past five years. Earlier in her career she founded The Steadman Center of Applied Research, where she also held the role of director.

She has been given the role of managing director at InterMedia and will be responsible for building the firm’s “already growing volume” of work in Kenya.

InterMedia president and CEO Robert Coonrod said: “We are delighted to bring Vivien on board as InterMedia implements a full globalisation of our operations, of which Africa is an important step. Vivien is a seasoned research practitioner with extensive knowledge of the media, communication and global development sectors. She is ideally qualified to further InterMedia’s business development plans in these domains while also strengthening our corporate presence and local capacity in Africa.”
