InSites Consulting buys Taiwan agency Answer

BELGIUM & TAIWAN – Insights agency InSites Consulting has acquired Taipei-based marketing research company Answer to expand its operations in Asia.

Founded in 2005, Answer offers online qualitative research with a focus on digital communities across sectors including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).

Answer has been working with InSites Consulting through a strategic partnership in the region since 2016.

The acquisition will strengthen InSites’ presence in Asia-Pacific, following its purchase of Singapore-headquartered ABN Impact in December 2019.

Answer will be brought in to the InSites Consulting brand, operating under that name by the end of spring 2021. 

Founder Vivian Luan and managing partner Jennifer Liu (pictured) will retain their existing management positions, and Liu will join the global InSites board.

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Following the acquisition, InSites Consulting will employ around 600 people in 18 locations globally.

The company has made several acquisitions in the past couple of years, including UK research agency Join the Dots and French creative platform eÿeka. In 2020, the company dropped the names ABN Impact and Join the Dots, bringing the businesses under one InSites Consulting brand.
