Based in Detroit, Nicita (pictured) joined InSites Consulting in 2021 when the company acquired US insight agency Gongos, where she was chief executive. She has since been managing director of North America.

Nicita began her career in market research 30 years ago when she joined Gongos. She became chief executive and owner of the business in 2012, when owner John Gongos died. She is also a board member at the Insights Association.

De Wulf founded Belgium-headquartered InSites Consulting in 1997 as a spin-off of Vlerick Business School where he was marketing professor and partner, and became chief executive in 2012. He will remain a member of the board of directors and a shareholder of the company.

Nicita takes up the new role and joins the board with effect from 1st October. She will be replaced by current head of operations Katherine Ephlin, who becomes managing director of North America.

The company rebranded to Human8 at the start of 2023, retaining the Space Doctors brand for its foresight and strategic positioning work.

Human8 has bought several businesses in recent years, expanding its footprint in Europe, the UK, the US, South Africa and Asia-Pacific, with acquisitions including Join the Dots in the UK in 2019 and Germany-based Happy Thinking People earlier this year. The business now employs over 800 people.

Under Nicita’s leadership, Gongos received the Forbes Small Giants award in 2020.

Nicita said: “I am honoured to carry on the great work Kristof has accomplished over the last decade and am ready to apply the Small Giants mindset on a global scale. The skills and capabilities we have under one roof are unparalleled and it’s strengthened by our people-first culture around the globe. My focus in the coming years will be to cultivate passion for our purpose, clients, people, and the community at large.”

De Wolf said: “I am delighted to have had the opportunity to grow and lead our organisation for almost 12 years now. It was an amazing journey transitioning from a Belgian start-up to a global leader that is serving the needs of the most iconic brands in the world. The time is now to pass on the responsibility to one of our most competent and inspiring leaders in the business, Camille Nicita.

“Moving Camille into the seat of global chief executive not only sends a clear signal that we are now a truly global company, but also that we moved beyond our legacies into an exciting joint future.”
